Junior Achievement + Spelling Bee Presentations

Ria Nicholson is the new Director of Fund Development at Junior Achievement. As a member of the senior management team, she is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, successfully implementing, and achieving the annual philanthropy targets. Ria has over 18 years of experience as a fundraising professional for national and local charitable organizations. She has worked as a fundraiser for the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation and the YWCA Peterborough Haliburton. Ria’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from McMaster University and a Postgraduate certificate in Sport and Event Marketing at George Brown College. For the past 4 years, she volunteered as a philanthropic advisor for the Council of People with Disabilities.

JA Northern and Eastern Ontario has been creating a positive impact on the lives of students since 2007. Their engaging programs are proven to inspire youth giving them the tools and confidence to succeed in school, business and in life.

We will also have Presentations to the winning students and schools from the Rotary Spelling Bee brought to you by Lighthouse Wealth Management and presented by YourTV.

NOTE: Meeting being held on the 5th Monday of the month due to Victoria Day holiday falling on the 4th Monday.
