Remembrance Day *ZOOM* Meeting with Guest Arlette Utton

UPDATE: This meeting is taking place by *ZOOM ONLY* due to the current recommendation from Peterborough Public Health to avoid social gatherings in all indoor settings.

Meeting Schedule Date Adjustment: Out of respect for our veterans, this meeting is taking place on the first Monday of the month so that our Remembrance Day service takes place before Nov. 11th. Our meeting will also include guest speaker Arlette Utton (via Zoom, bio below) giving us information about District 7010's new Peace Committee.

Arlette has been a member of the Rotary Club of Barrie. She was president in 2008 - 09 and is currently Chair of the Rotary Club of Barrie Charitable Foundation. She co-chaired the Rotary Military Heritage Park located in Barrie on the shores Kempenfelt Bay as well as the Rotary Clubs of Barrie Sesquicentennial Clock and Memorial Brick campaign.  In addition to chairing several club committees and fund raising events, she has participated in a trip to Ecuador to assist in the building of a water irrigation system and to Kenya to oversee the building of an orphanage - both Barrie Club initiatives. In 2012 she chaired the District Conference in Ottawa. In addition to Rotary Arlette served on the Foundation Board of Royal Victoria Health Centre for 14 years finishing as Chair in 2015. Arlette also sat on the board of Talk is Free Theatre and is currently a grant reviewer for the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

In real life Arlette is a commercial real estate broker and is married to an extremely patient and supportive husband, Sheldon Pomer.
